We invite you to relax and enjoy a good moment, without rushing, while we share 4 curiosities about our journey up to this date.
4 Curiosities About Mandriola
If you enjoyed what you saw (and tasted) in these two years, then get to know us a little better. Here are 4 curiosities to bring up at your next dinner.
1. Did you know that Mandriola was born in Quinta da Aveleda, but has its roots in Lisbon?
Quinta da Aveleda, located in Penafiel, is a magical place where some of the most prestigious wines in the country have been born for centuries. Continuing this tradition and respecting Portugal’s viticultural roots, we debuted in the wine region of the capital of our country 2 years ago with Mandriola de Lisboa. Why? Because the Lisbon Wine Region has a strong Atlantic influence, a wide temperature range, and gentle sea breezes. Combined with a unique terroir, these are the key ingredients for producing smooth, fresh, and fruity wines. The result is new experiences, moments of relaxation, and excellent white and red wines – you decide!
2. We’re in some of Lisbon’s most emblematic locations
We haven’t stayed still in these first two years. You can already find Mandriola de Lisboa in more than 30 locations, from North to South of the country, and in the most iconic spots of the capital. Suggestions? Try the regional cuisine at Grapes & Bites, the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Lisboa é Linda, the picanha steak with homemade pickles at Dito Cujo or if you’re a fan of good meat, Satélite dos Bifes II is a must. You can also find us at Lazuli and Tasca dos Canários, a classic in Bairro Alto. Enjoy the good weather with Mandriola in the best places in Lisbon.
3. We leave our mark wherever we go
These past 2 years have been filled with excitement and many kilometers traveled. We’ve already been to Brazil, Goa, and Macau are still on the list, but we’ve already attended Fox Sunset Stories, Moda Lisboa, Essência do Vinho, and Feira Vinhos & Sabores, making friends along the way. But the best is yet to come! We’ll be at the “Continente Food Festival 2024” in Parque da Cidade (Porto), on July 6th and 7th. See you there?
4. Did you know that we’ve already won several awards?
Not to brag… maybe just a little! We take great pride in our journey, and despite being only two years old, the quality of our wines has already been internationally recognized. Mandriola de Lisboa Branco was selected as a Best Buy by Wine Enthusiast, one of the largest publications in the wine industry. Mandriola de Lisboa Tinto received 90 points from James Suckling, one of the most renowned wine critics in the world, and also the gold medal at the Berliner Wein Trophy, held in Germany. Not bad for a wine that didn’t exist two years ago, right?
There’s still plenty to explore and many good moments to enjoy. Thank you for continuing to prefer savoring life, without rush, with Mandriola. Here’s to many more years like this.
