1. Middleditch and Schwartz (Netflix)

“Middleditch and Schwartz”, available on Netflix, is a Stand-up Comedy series presented by the comedy duo Thomas Middleditch and Ben Schwartz who, during three 60 minutes episodes, improvise hilarious stories from random challenges thrown by the audience.

The result is a lot of laughs in episodes like “Parking Lot wedding” the “Law School Magic” (complete with aliens) and “Dream Job,” an episode that sees Middleditch and Schwartz create a job search scenario that’s as absurd as it is comical. The sexual orientation hidden for more than three decades, of the renowned comedian Jerrod Carmichael, is revealed under the watchful eye of the audience who get emotional and laugh with him during the Stand-Up Comedy show.

The 35-year-old comedian began his professional career in 2011, having performed in ‘open mic’ performances at the Comedy Store in Hollywood and in HBO Max comedy specials like “Love at the Store” (2014) and “8” (2017). If you already know him, or even if you’ve never seen any of his shows, this Stand-Up Comedy masterpiece is well worth watching.

“Rothaniel” premiered in April this year on HBO Max and is an undiscovered gem amongst the hundreds of Stand-Up Comedy options that streaming services have to offer. 55 very special minutes, filmed in an intimate way, almost resembling a therapy session (but watered down with moments of great humour!).
