Those who pass by Câmara Pestana street, at number 23, hardly imagine that behind the doors hides one of the best terraces to enjoy the Portuguese capital. With a carefully curated wine list consisting of red wines and hand-picked white wines, Terrace 23 has an impressive terrace. The perfect place to end the day with a glass of wine in your hand.
There are also snacks to share, such as ceviche and assorted cheeses, which combine well with wine. And if you pay a visit at the end of the day, let yourself enjoy a little more – as the night falls, the cocktails start peeking, like a cat on the hunt.
2. Chafariz do Vinho: a glass of wine for old times’ sake

The décor takes you back to the past and is full of vibrant objects and colors. It also has a huge balcony, which overlooks the heart of Lisbon. After a few rounds and with a little luck, you can enjoy concerts downstairs.

At the top of Bairro Alto, with a stunning river view, there is an amazing hideout. To get here, you need to venture behind the curtains, and discover the Insólito bar, the place where wine tastes best.
Let’s start with the first impressions: the view over the city of Lisbon is breathtaking and the rooftop simply stunning. Now, what brought us here: to open the wine list is a walk all over Portugal. The highlight goes to the national producers in total harmony with the menu. And what a menu! Accompanying a good glass of wine is the best in Portuguese gastronomy, made in a way… Unusual. Don’t leave without tasting Boar Roast beef or Saffron Semicold.

To join Foxtrot is to go back to the crazy 20s, but with the best of portuguese wines today. Dark wood, mirrors and the fireplace in winter ccontribute to the glamorous vibe. And it just takes a peek at foxtrot’s wine list to realize we’re in the right place: there are dozens of Portuguese wine options and great snacks to go with it. When you finally get your eyes on the menu you’ll notice in more detail the opulent Art Deco décor, in the style of a classic English bar filled with bottles on the walls. Tip: in good weather, try the interior garden.
9. MEL / Pensão do amor: for a glass of passionate wine

Set in a former brothel, the lively Pensão Amor still holds the marks of its roots.
